If you really like the flavour of Cheddar, try making these biscuits with extra-sharp Cheddar cheese

Ingredients:

1-1 1/2 c. all purpose flour

1/2 c. yellow cornmeal

2 tsp. sugar

1 tbsp. baking powder

1/4 tsp. salt

1/2 c. butter

1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese

1 c. milk

Combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder and salt:, cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in cheese and milk just until moistened. Drop dough by 1/4 cupfuls onto an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 450 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes, or until lightly golden. Makes one dozen.
