Patient applications closed

South West Health stopped accepting applications at midnight last night, Dec. 17, for those wanting to join the patients’ lists of three new physicians in Yarmouth.

More than 2,200 people had applied by midnight Thursday to be a patient of the new physicians at Ocean View Family Practice. The practice was able to accept 2,500 people.

Applications were only accepted from people who do not already have a family doctor or nurse practitioner. All family members in the household without a family doctor could be listed on the one application.
