I am a library clerk, municipal politician, boxing coach, periwinkle picker, rose hipper and substitute lobster fisherman.
I am a member of Freeport Fire Department, I work on lighthouse preservation, MEDIC, Senior Safety, DARC, PAC and am a happy face at community events.
I have helped young people with a boxing club, baseball program, playground, day camp, summer camp, youth voluntarism, trips, and writing letters for grants and bursaries.
I have helped with the District 4 Food bank, yard work, winter wood, rides to the doctor, pill delivery, pensions, grants, housing, a motor scooter, answering questions, looking for jobs.
Depopulation and the major problems that come with it are things I worry about constantly. I hope the cumulative result of my actions is that more families choose to live here.
Work has been done on the bridge in Tiverton, drainage issues, armour rock and back roads in Westport. Freeport needs major work and the department of transportation is working on this. The province has tendered repairs to Fish Point Wharf.
I stay busy, I’m approachable and open to talk about anything at any time. I try my best to find solutions to our problems.
I will help you lobby the decisions makers or come up with a solution for ourselves.
