I am a wife, mother, hard working woman, volunteer and community-minded individual. I work seasonally at Lavena’s Catch Café. I have been a volunteer lieutenant and medical first responder with the Freeport Fire Department for12 years; I’m on the Digby and Area Community Health Board; I volunteer with Digby Emergency Disaster Team Red Cross, I am the president of the Digby Fire Association and a village commissioner. I also volunteered in the past with the Islands Liaison Health Board.
If elected I plan to focus on continuing issues with Digby Neck, Long Island and Brier Island roads, wharfs and issues pertaining to D.O.T.
There are real issues with senior’s healthcare, transportation and relief for those caretakers at home.
I plan to work at making health care more accessible, whether it be better transportation or more available healthcare. The most important issues are the ones you, the people have. I promise I will work hard for you to get answers and solutions.
I feel my dedication in all my volunteer work should speak to the compassion I have for these communities. I work hard to achieve what I’m after. I feel I can represent and work hard for the communities I love and care about.
