I’m a long-time resident of Digby who understands the community and its people.
I am a member of the current council
serving as chair of Digby Area Recreation, Planning Advisory Committee and the MEDIC Committee.
We need to find ways to deal with declining revenue in the town without severe withdrawals of service. We need to look at town services and facilities for ways to fine tune our operations
to get the most value for our money. We also need to continue to work with partners to access all possibilities for development, both residential and commercial.
We have to look at all options, including amalgamation and annexation, have to be explored and discussed with neighboring units.
We are too small to accommodate major growth but we can be affected by what goes on in adjacent municipalities.
We need to look at all measures to ensure retention of our medical and transportation infrastructure.
I have several years’ experience on council and understand the how the system works and the history of the projects that have been undertaken. I speak with an independent voice and am not afraid to say what I think.
I will serve with integrity and openness and will hold myself accountable to the people of Digby.
