I was born and raised in East Ferry. My family and I moved to Marshalltown 11 years ago.
As a kid we all worked hard in the fish plants and had a good time. I wish young people today had the chance to work like we did.

I have learned some important issues that I never thought of like how much taxpayers’ money has been spent on the airport. The dispatch center could have been put in the old Tideview. I don't think a 40-year-old building is old. I bet there was room for a medical center also.
