Seventeen candidates are running for eight seats in the Municipality of the District of Clare.
Nil Doucet has been acclaimed in District 1. Dave Doucette, Danny Hill and Floyd Peters are running in District 2.
Alain Belliveau, Bernice Doucet and Hector Thibault are running in District 3.
Lowell Briggs, Anne LeBlanc, Arnold LeBlanc and Robert G. Thibault are running in District 4.
Brian Comeau has been acclaimed in District 5.
In District 6, Russel (à Dan) Comeau, Russell F. Comeau and Leon Dugas are running. In Distrcit 7, Ronnie LeBlanc has been acclaimed and in District 8, Lester Doucvet has been acclaimed.
The elections are Saturday, Oct. 20.
School board elections take place at the same time.
Donna Tidd and Chris Outhouse have put their names forward in Tri-County School Board District 3 and Faye Haley was the only candidate in District 4.
Darlene Lawrence will run against incumbent Michael Fells for the African Nova Scotian seat on the Tri County School board.
Three members, Marcel Cottreau, Kenneth Gaudet and Sophie Thériault, have been acclaimed to the Conseil scolaire acadien provincial from Clare. Alvin Comeau has been acclaimed to the Tri-County Regional School Board from Clare.
