Carnival fun at Weymouth school

Lack of snow outside did not dampen carnival spirit at Weymouth Consolidated School on Tuesday as students and staff celebrated Mardi Gras and Pancake Day.

Parent volunteers kept the griddles hot flipping homemade pancakes for students and staff at the annual event.

Along with Shrove Tuesday, many wore masks, costumes and brightly coloured beads as part of the school’s Mardi Gras festival.
