The closure still includes harvesting of oysters, soft shell clams, razor clams, surf clams, mussels and quahogs, and gastropod molluscs such as whelk, for recreational or commercial purposes.

A ban on shellfishing harvesting in the Annapolis Basin near Digby now excludes scallops. Fisheries and Oceans Canada revised its Dec. 2 closure in an update this morning.
