Lewis Mouldings focusing on value-added industries

By Karla Kelly FOR THE DIGBY COURIER NovaNewsNow.com Lewis Mouldings general manager Jamie Lewis took advantage of an election campaign visit Friday by Premier Rodney MacDonald to present his concerns over government support of value-added industries.

“We need to continue focusing on added value industries,” said Lewis. “Lots of natural resources can be utilized to create as much economic activity as possible at a sustainable level.”

MacDonald said he recognized the vision and expansion of this local business and responded to Lewis’ concerns regarding the economy. “Lewis Mouldings has accessed the Industrial Expansion Fund (IEF) realizing that it’s the jobs and the economy that are important,” said MacDonald. “”This is what it is all about and we’ve proven strong leadership in these areas.”
