Rev. Alden Fells of Digby says a protest is planned outside the local RCMP detachment for noon Monday.

Topics :
RCMP , Halifax , New Glasgow , Taser

Fells’ 19-year-old son Nathaniel and a second young black man, William Drummond, 20, of Halifax, were involved June 22 in a scuffle that led to Drummond being shot with a Taser by a member of the Digby RCMP.

As well, Halifax and New Glasgow police departments and the major crimes unit of the RCMP are looking into the matter that involved a number of off-duty police from Halifax and one from New Glasgow.
