Weight restrictions start March 5

The Department of Transportation will post weight restrictions for secondary roads starting Monday, March 5 in Digby County and all of south and south western Nova Scotia from Hants and Halifax Counties down.

The department will post spring weight restrictions for north and eastern Nova Scotia starting on Wednesday, March 7

The restrictions on heavy trucks are intended to protect roads during the spring thaw when mild and wet weather weakens the roads.
