Public meeting to highlight Winbush recommendations

On Sept. 25, 6 p.m. at Digby Elementary School, race relations expert Dr. Raymond Winbush will present recommendations resulting from his 10 days of consultation with Digby RCMP and members of the Digby’s black community.

Winbush was brought to town to offer insight and suggest solutions to racial conflicts.

The Digby Elementary School event will be a joint meeting of the African Nova Scotian community and the RCMP. It is open to the public and is an opportunity for input and discussion.

Dr. Winbush will also be the keynote speaker 6 p.m. Sept. 26 at a banquet at the Pines.
