Federation spokesman Richard Treleaven says activities include rehearsals for a mass choir in the acoustically-rich stone church at St. Bernard, as well as workshops to improve choral skills. There will also be a conductors appreciation banquet featuring fun, fine food and hospitality.

The festival is open to individual singers and choirs. Organizers are planning for 200 participants from Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and PEI  to join in the weekend of singing and learning that culminates in the exciting performance in an amazing venue.

The mass choir concert on Sunday, May 22, in St. Bernard is the culmination of the long weekend, but festival organizers have added a youth choral competition that provides a full scholarship for two children to attend the Nova Scotia Choral Federation’s summer camps.
